Chairman’s Awards 2019

Hayleys Fabric was adjudged the Overall Winner within the Hayleys Group for an excellent demonstration of Skill, Knowledge and Innovation. A disused 10 Bay Stenter Machine, which is worth brand new over USD 1,100,000.00 was reconstructed and upgraded with the latest and most advance technical control systems by the Engineering Team at a cost of USD 255,349.00 Further the Engineering team was able to satisfy the business requirement by commissioning this stenter in a short period of 3 months compared to the supplying and installing of a new stenter which would take 12-13 months.

Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards

Hayleys Fabric PLC, bagged the bronze award for the Best Integrated Report Design at the Asia Sustainability Reporting Awards (ASRA) 2019 in Singapore.

Hosted virtually due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, the Swedish Ambassador to Singapore, Niclas Kvarnström was guest of honour at the event which was attended by over 200 senior business leaders, sustainability partners, academia, trade associations and advocacy organisations across the region.

“The concept of sustainability plays a central role in ensuring that businesses are able to survive and thrive in increasingly volatile conditions. Therefore, the ability to transparently report on sustainability within our organisation is an essential prerequisite to showcasing our commitment and building engagement around these vital initiatives. Hence, we are delighted to have been recognised among leading corporates in the Asian region,” Hayleys Fabric Managing Director and CEO, Rohan Goonetilleke said.

Continuing to raise the bar for quality and authentic reporting, the ASRA has introduced healthy competition among corporates in Asia. Evaluated by an independent panel of judges, all entries are subjected to a multi-tier evaluation process, followed by a comprehensive due diligence process.

The winners for the 2019 ceremony were selected from 461 entries submitted across 16 countries, of which 80 companies were shortlisted from 13 countries to compete in the finals across 19 categories. The Awards recognise and honour sustainability reporting leaders in Asia, celebrating the best practices in sustainability reporting. The Awards are open to all types and sizes of private, public and non-profit organisations in all sectors which produce a sustainability report or integrated report in Asia. Hayleys Fabrics, a subsidiary of Hayleys PLC, is a leading textiles manufacturer in Sri Lanka, providing end-to-end solutions from the design to manufacturing of fabric made out of natural and synthetic fibers.

CASL award

Hayleys Fabric PLC was awarded the Silver in the Manufacturing sector (Turnover above Rs.5 Bn category) at the 54th Annual Report Awards conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka together with their strategic partner, Colombo Stock Exchange, on December 4th, 2018. Rewarding excellence in annual reporting, the award places increasing emphasis on transparency, good governance, sustainability and social responsibility with entrants expected to go beyond mere regulatory reporting to present a holistic review of their performance

Presidential Environmental Green Award 2018

Hayleys Fabric PLC received a bronze trophy of commendation at 2018 Presidential Environmental Green Award on 19th October 2018 conducted by the Central Environmental Authority.

SAFA award

Hayleys Fabrics PLC was awarded a merit certificate in the Manufacturing sector at the SAFA (South Asian Federation of Accountants) Annual Report Awards conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Bangladesh, on 27th January, 2017.

CA Sri Lanka award

Hayleys Fabrics PLC was awarded the bronze in the Manufacturing sector at the 52nd Annual Report Awards conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka together with their strategic partner, Colombo Stock Exchange, on 6th December 2016. Rewarding excellence in annual reporting, the award places increasing emphasis on transparency, good governance, sustainability and social responsibility with entrants expected to go beyond mere regulatory reporting to present a holistic review of their performance.

A Bronze for Hayleys Fabric PLC at CA Sri Lanka Annual Report Awards

Hayleys Fabrics PLC (formerly known as Hayleys MGT Knitting Mills PLC) was awarded the bronze in the Manufacturing sector at the 51st Annual Report Awards conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Sri Lanka together with their strategic partner, Colombo Stock Exchange, on December 3rd , 2015.
